Back in the 60's especially after the public success of Leone's Westerns, they showed back to back  double bills of AFOD & FAFDM then also triple bills of those two and GBU. They should have slipped in other SW's to get the public interested in them two, ie. FAFDM & TGS, or FAFDM & TBG, or GBU & TM.

To bad!

Yeah, often the pairings didn't make a lot of sense, but the SWs the majors had sure did sterling duty as the lower half of a double bill: I saw an ad for 'The Wrecking Crew' + 'The Big Gundown', and went to see 'My Name Is Nobody' with 'Swashbuckler' and again with 'American Graffitti'!

When I was in Japan, there was a great double bill for one night only. "The Great Silence" and "Antonio Das Mortes." (Do you know this Brazilian western?)

No, it isn't. But it is absolutely indicated for insomniacs.

It's more like an allegorical story with political and social comments. Imagely quite eccentric. It was sensational when it was released. I love to see it again.

Now that I think about it, I wonder whether is worse the score of this or Keoma's. While this is more in a sleepy vein, Keoma's keeps you always alerted for the moment the female voice will start to sing, ruining whatever mood the movie will have put you in. So one is to sleep, the other to stay awake.
