Hey has anybody seen this movie:-
http://imdb.com/title/tt0062078/

This Italian Bond imitation was directed by Alberto De Martino who made a number of sw's including Here We Go gain Providence but was also the 2nd unit director on DYS and the music was composed by none other than Ennio Morricone!
Sean Connerys younger brother Neil is in the 007 role but the movie also includes Bernard Lee(original M),Lois Maxwell(Moneypenny),Adolfi Celi(Largo from Thunderball) and Anthony Dawson(Dr No).
I'd like to see his but i see that the NTSC videos on Amazon USA are out of stock.

Might be the classic case of so bad its good! Grin

I first heard of this Bond exploitation aka Operation Kid Brother from a Bond film guide and De Martino has also done successful imitations of both the Exorcist(Holocaust 2000) and the Omen(L'Antichrist).

I've heard of that.  It's got a rating of less than 3 on the IMDB and was on MST3K, so I can't say I'm itching to see it. . .  Undecided

I found a link for the Morricone/Nicolai soundtrack with sound samples for many of the tracks. The first track Man For Me is obviously the theme tune and definately sounds typically Bond like Roll Eyes

http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/okconnerysoundtrack.htm

I looked in my Bond book and apparently at the time Neil Connery was a plasterer.I also read somewhere else that during the filming of You Only Live Twice(made just after OK Connery) relations between Lois Maxwell(Moneypenny) and Sean Connery were very frosty indeed!

I forgot this was an MST3K episode. Must be a good un. I love what they do to the Italian Hercules movies "Hi I'm Steve Reeve's, insect exterminator"

Great cover (from the poster I suspect)! Very Bondish.
Heard the title theme and that too is well arranged.

I pay more attention to any reviews(good and bad) shown and there are a handful of favourable ones for this movie as well as the bad ones.

Here is the main theme tune to those who want to hear more than just a sample...

Great theme. I should probably get around to watching the movie soon.
Unfortunately I have the Mystery Science theatre version so I have to put up with those annoying robots and there very unfunny remarks.

MST3K is awesome, I'm surprised you're not a fan.

My only experience with the show is from the movie itself.
I didn't find the robots funny at all and I seem to recall you agreed with me on the movie.

Definitely, the movie was terrible; it's probably the worst introduction to the show. I only remember one funny part, some joke about cardboard boxes or something.

Well, I'm not going to lie, I laughed a few times. Even the worst of comedies can make you do that a couple of times.
But overall it wasn't funny.
I was more interested in watching This Island Earth than waiting for the next groan inducing pun to come out of the bots.
It was an embarassment to watch.
