Doesn't look like a masterpiece to me, Firecracker. Never heard of this movie, but I checked it out on imdb.com:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079946/
for sure, in Italy it went unnoticed, besides it's fairly old (1979).

Thanks for that Firecracker-made from the days before CGI effects ruined everything. We've just bought the complete 4 series of the cult 1970's UK sci-fi Blakes 7-full of dodgy costumes and special effects like model spacecrafts sliding down a washing  line but somehow still more tangible, believable and fun than all those crappy computer games effects they're using for the recent rebirth of Dr Who.
Come back Tom Baker or Jon Pertwee-they didn't have to rely on blonde airheads as an assistant. Sad

That's STARCRASH from 1979. I can't believe nobody here's seen this. It's directed by Luigi Cozzi who did the laughably bad double dose of Ferrigno Peplum HERCULES 1 & 2(which at the time utilized SPX not used in Italy up until that time.), BEYOND THE DOOR (an EXORCIST clone that was a big hit here in 1975. Mario Bavas SHOCK was retitled BEYOND THE DOOR 2 here), TENTACLES Cozzis version of JAWS starring John Houston(!), Henry Fonda(!), Shelley Winters(!) and Claude Akins, Bo Hopkins.

Cozzi also delivered a "colorized" version of the original GODZILLA which featured added gore footage not found in the jap release. Probably his most famous film would be the gory ALIEN clone ALIEN CONTAMINATION 1980. He was also a producer on James Camerons first movie PIRANHA 2: THE SPAWNING eventually firing Cameron midway through and taking over directing chores.

Anyways STARCRASH stars the gorgeous Caroline Munro from Hammer horrors CAPTAIN KRONOS 1972 and DRACULA AD 1972, GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD 1974, ABOMINABLE DR PHIBES (classic!) 1971 and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME 1977 among some of her credits. The late great Joe Spinnell from the infamously disturbing MANIAC 1980, ROCKY 1 & 2 76, 78, VIGILANTE 1982, THE GODFATHER 1972 and THE LAST HORROR FILM 1982

Christopher Plummer and Marjoe Gortner also star. Munros husband plays her robot sidekick. Haven't seen it in years but Munro wears some skimpy outfits. I think only a french dvd exists paired with its "sequel".

I almost forgot David Hasselhoff(!) plays alongside Munro and Gortner. He uses a lightsaber type weapon too if I remember correctly.

Correction on above post-Cozzi did not direct TENTACLES or BEYOND THE DOOR nor did he work on PIRANHA 2 in any capacity. Ovidio Assonitis alias Oliver Hellman was responsible for those. That's the second time I've got those two mixed up. Embarrassed
