This unknown (to me at least) television W is getting 7.1 on IMDb, and I can't understand why. It is not the worse W made for TV, but it's lame all around. If you at all costs wanna waste some time, then this doesn't necessarily have to be a complete waste of your time. I don't think I could have been more clear, right?

The story has nothing to do with Sam Raimi's flick of the same title: unfortunately (believe it or not). Sam Elliott plays a mysterious stranger (don't start laughing yet) who starts helping/defending a family (traveling from Pennsylvania to the West Coast) from a gang, of some sort. He shows every now and then (for some reason they just seem to meet every time), teaches them a couple of tricks, befriends the boy, nearly steals the poor man's (played by Tom Conti, but I kept thinking it was Bob Gunton) wife (played by the pretty Kate Capshaw)... You know the drill.

The bad boys - lead by a fellow called Doc Shabitt (played by Matt Clark, you know his face, he's been in several well-known 70s/80s films, albeit always in minor roles) - are as menacing as Mickey Mouse, riding a donkey, dressed in a Easter Bunny costume (the donkey I mean, wtf would Mickey need a costume for?), running in circles around a pole, chasing a carrot. Someone killed Doc's only son, after he tried to steal their horses, can't remember who it was anymore... :-\ The whole time they're trying to serve you this as some deep revenge story. ;D

The acting of the whole cast is rather thin.

Can't remember if there was any soundtrack.

3.5 (maybe a 4) out of 10

No matter how cleverly you sneak up on a mirror, the reflection always looks you straight in the eye.
