Ha ha good point!  I had been anticipating going to see the extended version of "Major Dundee" in theaters last year, but it didn't get any closer than NYC I think.  And I was really excited when I heard about a theatrical screening of "Doctor Zhivago" - until I learned it was in Austin, Texas.  So Tongue

But have a good time Angel - I only wish I could be that lucky to see LoA in theaters.

I saw "Ride The High Country" on the BIG screen a few years ago..my first time seeing that film. A now defunct Film Society presented it as part of a summer program of Westerns..I was completely blown away...and ended up walking home in a cinematically induced state of euphoria.  Cool
I haven't been to a real live movie theater in about 3 years... Embarrassed

You were going to be there? I went with my dad, he liked the movie a lot since he was a kid, and he knew I liked westerns so we went and saw this at The Film Forum. It was pretty cool.  Cool

Sorry Groggy, I'm not trying to brag. I just like talking about seeing my favorite movies on the big screen.

Are you going to try and see LOA in that theater Boardwalk Angel mentioned?

Ok..I'm going...bought my ticket..so I can't get lazy & cop out  Embarrassed--->
  Cool They're doing the whole "Road Show' thing...w/ the musical prelude/overture...intermission music..& exit music.  Cheesy

It's a HUGE screen...somewhat disappointed that they're showing it in 35MM...not 70MM...but..it'll do.

Hope you enjoy it.  Smiley

By the way, what's the difference between the MMs of film? Some are 35mm some are 70, what's the difference?

As I crudely understand it..The bigger the size in millimeters, the more information and resolution each frame can hold.
So there would be higher defnition & better sound.
