I am watching the movie this very moment. As usual, can't understand the why and wherefore of the love story subplot: was it really necessary? I mean, do these scene guarantee a grab on the female audiences? But how many prospect male patrons do they alienate?

I didn't like it that much either seems like it was just some studio vison of putting a bunch of pretty faces together and make a Western.

I wouldn't be so drastic. It isn't a movie I would like to see again, but I didn't turn off the player either. I think that the final siege is worth watching. I also liked the scene in the bar where the Kid removes the cartridges from the would-be killer's gun. Also Estevez performance (to me Estevez was just a name before this movie) isn't that bad. He reminds me sometime of Sean Penn, an "actor" I detest: still the figure of the Kid as a half-demented killer which the movie portends to portrait, is well delineated: better in the second part, than the first. I hated Keefer Sutherland's character, which just doesn't belong there. And apart from the usual Palance and Stamp's impeccable
performances no actor is worth of note.
The score sometime is a nightmare: rock must be blended with western, not just superimposed.

I liked Pat Wayne showing up briefly as Sheriff Pat Garrett.  It's a decent movie, I actually prefer the second one, but not one I'd run out and buy for the dvd collection.

It seems pretty pointless because at the end of the first one, we're told what happened to all the gang after the siege, with the whole "pals" thing.  Still, the second one is entertaining.

Kristoferson was miscast in PG& BTK he still looks about 40 (thats why they had him shave I think) now if you ever saw the existing photo of BTK you'll see why Michale J. Pollard fits the part well, lol.

J Pollard is rather husky to be BTK dont you think CJ? The real BTK is a scrawny guy.

In fact the guy who played Guy Calloway in FAFDM is a dead ringer for BTK, although much uglier.
