Muloch was looking for Tuco for eight months...so let's say the course of events throughout the film take place within 9 months...I would guess that LVC was in Batterville for about 3 to 4 months.
--Hey, Beavis, he just said Batterville! Heh, heh!

--Yeah? What's your point, d***wad?

That's a pretty good estimate.

Angel eyes is the bad in the film without a doubt, if you take on board the idea that Leone filmed the camp scenes giving parallels in some ways to the Nazi concentration camps, that would suggest Angel eyes is no different than say Hoess the commandant of Auchwitz who did not kill personally that many inmates but instigated the deaths of millions.
To look at Angel eyes like this makes him a very bad person even though like other evil men in history they could also have a very reasonable and charming side, which we see in his comments to blondie.
Also with what we know now about killers these days there is a definate sexual component urging them on.
Volonte showed this well as Indio, after the killing in the church when he requests a spliff he looks almost in sexual extasy.
Indio would I think be labeled a disorganised killer wheres Angel Eyes would be the more dangerous Organised type.
John Douglas, Robert Ressler and Robert Keeple real life profilers for the FBI and King County write a lot about killers signatures in murders what they do every time they kill and Indio and Angel Eyes fit certain of the criteria they express
