Saw this tonight, not that great but not bad either, I guess entertaining is the word.

But in the Comming Attractions what looked good are "The Black Dahlia",  and "Fly Boys".

That's a good description.  The cast was all very good, especially Norton and Giamatti, even Jessica Biel held her own.  I did kinda see the twist coming, it was pretty obvious.

The two things I really liked were the music and the feel of the movie.  The musical score fit the movie perfectly, and overall it felt like a movie from the 40s or 50s that is just there to entertain you.  It's not trying to deliver a message, you're just supposed to enjoy it.

Saw it tonight. Hollywood crap. It's a film you won't see twice. 6\10

Yes, I agree with all of you before me. I saw bits before and it looked great, but now in one piece it doesn't feel the same. Not a bad movie though, just mediocre.

I personally would have preferred more if they worked the way with the old mentor-magician/wizard/whatever more.

I like this one. It's got the touch of the old gothic melodrama about it. It has a terrific fairytale castle-type sequences in it. And it leaves you wondering at the end. Good mystery.
