This was a surprise. The italian SWdb says some scenes are too stretched up, while in the IMDB a reviewer talks of "unknown masterpiece". I lean more on this last evaluation. I'm not sure if the film is a masterpiece (a term I reserve only to Leone's movies) but I didn't notice any stretched up scenes and it must anyway be ranked in the "must see" SW's. What amazes most in this is the fact that there's no positive character among the main ones, "hero" (Hilton?) included. Everybody (but Hilton's girl, who plays though a very small role) is a mean person with no morality at all: I can't remember another movie, even not a popular one like this, being so cynic. This makes all the scenes, in a way, unpredictable, as you expect the "good" Hilton put a rein to his pard bad Wolff's excesses.
The score is professional but Umiliani gives sometime the impression of having had some tunes in store for some other kind of movie, not a western, and having taken them out for this when he found himself with no time or ideas. The only good tune is the one heard during the attack on the gold wagon. A remarkable scene (though the gun-mortar is an excess I could have done without).
I don't know if this will be in my top 10, but is an authoritative candidate. For the moment it will stay in my top 20 easily.

Watch it!

"A bullet for Sandoval" doesn't have any "good" characters. Hilton stars as well.

Probably was a bit of unluck because I was never cheated in the many years I've bought there (well, maybe once, for a few dollars: but that was probably due to the incompetence of the seller, rather than malice). Especially on used items ou save a lot and, as in this case, the used items sometimes are not used at all.

well what happened was not their fault (I think). They sent it but it just got lost in the mail I would imagine (it never came) and they refused to send another one.

The Bullet for Sandoval DVD by VCI is cut by around 10minutes or so! Grin Apparently its the same with all the other releases out there, but I don't know for sure.

Mostly its just one subplot missing, but it gives motive to one character's actions which  happen later in the movie.

credits include Hilton's girlfriend...but I don't recall her being in the movie at all. So I guess my version is cut.
