Not a bad flick at all check it out if you haven't seen it.

Its sort of a quasi western/war/bootleger/dysfunctional family flick thats very entertaining with some great cinematography, and it will probably be enjoyed by the ladies since it is a love story.

I'd seen it back in 94 but forgot about how good it was.

For a movie starring Brad Pitt, granted it was before he was a huge superstar, Legends of the Fall is relatively unknown.  Good cast, especially Pitt, Anthony Hopkins and Aidan Quinn.

Always liked the Godfather like ending with Tristan and Co. taking out all their enemies in one fell swoop.  The music score really helps that scene, and many other scenes in the movie.  And I'll admit, I tear up a little at the end when the family reunites.  Cry Grin

I've got in on DVD and watch it on occasion.  I like Pitt's revenge on the Germans and the way he goes out at the end.

I love this film. What I love most about it is it's breathtaking cinematography and sweeping score. The love-triangle can get a bit annoying at times but I can live with it.

10/10

beautiful cinematography and a great score, and terrific performances by Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, and Julia Ormond. I generally have little interest in romance and little interest in melodrama, but this movie is simply magical. Few movies have ever blown me away on first viewing as much as this one has.

This movie often draws comparisons to A River Runs Through It (1992), another fave of mine

I remember this one as total kitsch. Zwick is not a bad director, but in case of doubt he prefers to be shallow. 4/10
