if it's so bandit proof why just one boy w/ the munchies for a loaf of bread to guard the confederate notes stashed inside it ? and, w/ indio and his reunited band
freshly sprung from  another  uncouth jail.
and the rickety jail used to hold indio's old friend

  Although Indio and his gang do appear out of nowhere.  That's something that always got me in that scene, they're there and then they are gone.  Next thing you know, KABOOM!  Poor sandwich boy never saw it coming.  Grin

indio was in jail 8 months ? w/ this guy ? w/ little or nothing to discuss loose lips sink ships.  it  was to
indio's advantage to have had the luck to share a cell
w/ the safe maker.
