http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066729/

The particular thing is that the hero is a rascal, a thief. This is what stroke me when I first saw the movie when released theatrically. The movie has little else: shot in Italy, with some money put into it but just a step ahead of the worst Fidani cheap-cheapies. The plot combines only clichés of the genre. I don't like Karis: he has a "fixed" stare which makes him constantly look dumb.  The score is competent.
You've seen worse but you won't see this again.

80% grade for me.

Off topic... what's the least you would ever give to a spaghetti? (And which one?) Because 80% is really good result and generally I remember you giving good grades...

There are two kinds of films in this world:those which stay, even when their genre is forgotten, and those which don't.

The lowest I would give is a 5%.
That title would go to films like "Kid Vengeance" and "Boot Hill" which have no entertainment value at all.

EDIT: erased my posts from this thread thinking it was another HOLY GHOST movie.

I still haven't watched Crazy Bunch(aka Dick Luft In Sacremento) other than flicking through it but it seems that with this movie,Return Of Halelujah and the finale of Holy Ghost(80% is a fair rating)  that Carmineo was overstepping the mark with the slapstick.
I've only watched They Call Me Cemetery once but i don't rembember it suffering particularly in this respect but the two blond brother characters were irritating-but Gargo and William Berger were on top form and the main musical theme is surely one of Nicolais greatest!

Their was some silly stuff in their that I didn't care for, for example the Granny shooting the cactus prickles off???
It was well done but uneeded.

I thought the film was pretty average, not something I would watch again...

I loved that scene -wasn't it just to demonstrate just how tough those guys were in the west with even a granny being deadly with a pistol?
The film was average? Maybe-but still very cool and the larger than life characters plus  Nicolais score made it very watchable Smiley
I tell you what,if Boot Hill had the same soundtrack i'd watch it over and over-honestly!

That's a lie and you know it!

Actually "Boot Hill's" main theme isn't that bad.

Who knows, with a pristine widescreen print Nicolais theme could work wonders. Roll Eyes
Only watched Boot Hill once so i can't recall the musical score. Undecided

The title theme is nice but forgettable. The rest of the score is crap.

I'm shocked that they even sell the soundtrack at "movie grooves". Who would want to buy such an inadequate soundtrack Huh Undecided

Arizona Colts review:-

Watched HIS NAME IS HOLY GHOST last night and if you enjoyed Garkos SARTANA sequels you'll enjoy this as it's cut from the same cloth albeit with an abundance of humor some of it blackly comical. There's even a Bud Spencer character that partners with Holy Ghost throughout the movie. Towards the end however, the comedy takes over amidst all the explosions and gunfire. Garko has a wide range of weapons this time out. The only disappointing aspect of the film for me was earlier in the picture you're led to believe that Holy Ghost may in fact be a supernatural gunfighter but by the end you realize he's just an ordinary guy. The quality is decent on this fullscreen print with greek subs. Only teh sound is a bit muffled.

Quick correction.

Banjo the above review from AC doesn't belong here as this isn't Carnimeo's Holy Ghost outing. It's one of the copy cat movies.
In fact now would be a good time to put Carnimeo's little seen western up...

But the one I got says 'directed by Guiliano Carnimeo' (or Anthony Ascott) in the credits. I don't have one of the copy cat ones.

Yeah but this thread is a copy cat one. Check the IMDB page. Different director and actors.
