I know Burt Reynolds is not everyones cup of tea, and boy has he made some howlers over the years but Sharkeys Machine holds a special place in my collection, I know its a bit sentimental at times but I love the bit of comedy that goes along with the action and boy oh boy have you ever seen a killer in the end that takes so many hits before going down.
anyone else like it?

Nope. I love Rachel Ward, though.

Count me in. It was kind of a semi-remake of the classic film noir, Laura. My favorite scene is when the bad guys have Sharky trapped and are going to start cutting off his fingers. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but  that was a very intense scene, because they actually start cutting off his fingers. That was the early 80s, and that sort of thing didn't happen to the hero in a big studio picture. You figure he'd think of a way out of it, but it doesn't happen.
