Looks a little different than 300 Spartans, doesn't it? ;D  It looks interesting if nothing else.  A couple months ago I watched a making of video of this movie, and it was basically all done with green screens, like Sin City.

I'll be interested to see more about this, but I'll definitely be looking for this one in 2007.  Thanks for the link, cigar joe.

Saw the trailer too. My immediate thought was that they were gonna get a terrific comic from the stills (a la A Scanner Darkly) but that the CGI in motion was gonna look as crap as it always does. Do you realize this doesn't come out until March, 2007?

The CGI does indeed look horrendous, like a very poor video game. It worked so well in SIN CITY because that was set entierly at night (if memory serves right), in a geometric, man made world. Trying to conjour the dusty, sun drenched pass of Thermopylae with this tecnique is expecting too much. Still, although absurdly delivered and over directed TO THE MAX!!! at least they have used Heroditous's dialogue (sort of), and if it gets the young 'uns interested in arguably the most important period of human history ever, all the better.

Just not my cup of wine, though.

Oh, and Leonidas's hair's too short.

All true about CGI, so we'll see I guess.

What's with the techno music? This is still a period peice is it not?

It looks like a film trying to use the Frank Miller name just to attract an audience after the cult following Sin City has been getting.

The music is probably there for people to hear it and look at the screen and i doubt that Zack Synder would put it in there.

Really? I barely saw his name at all except Inspired by him.

umm yeah...his name is kinda plastered twice on there. That's all you need to bring the fanboys of "Sin City" in.
