Yes but the video is sped up ( the audio remains pretty much the same, except a bit higher pitched ). The images seems to move a wee bit faster with the PAL speed-up.

what is the purpose of this?

Ive just watched DYS on dvd ( mgm SE 151 min)for the first time, and i missed a scene at the end where John is whispering "duck, you sucker" to Juan. It wasnt in the "sorting out the versions" either. Ive only seen this film one time earlier, on a crappy vhs, so maybe i dreamed the whole thing up.

Any light on this one?

When I read the list of extra scenes, it seemed to me, that there really must be a version that's somewhere in the middle, because some of them were in the version I have seen and some weren't!

Come again? Could you repeat what you just said, but this time in English?

This is just the way PAL works. A film shown in PAL fomat will always be shown at 25 frames per second, whereas mostly all films are shot at 24 frames per second. So the a second of film footage will be shown in a 24/25 of a second in PAL format.

Sorry, do you mean my post? I meant, it seems to me that there must be a version that includes some of those deleted scenes, because that version I saw seemed to include some of them.

I don't like his trailer, simply because he left out the Giu La Testa theme.  Angry

I agree. I had same thought.
While awaiting for the region 1 DVD, I enjoy any tidbit I can get.

I thought that was pretty good. That was the first time I've seen any of FOD in widescreen so I'm really looking forward, hopefully, to a region dvd.  Thanks for posting, seanseansean!

Tim, do yourself a favor and get a region free DVD player. Then buy the UK DYS DVD. The UK DVD is super awesome.  Cool
