"One of the worst SW" dubs it the italian db. Easy to agree. Still I think that after having seen yesterday a Fidani, this leaves an impression of magnificence, of Cecil B. De Mille at work. They had women here, extras, costumes, different locales (though italian). But, as in Fidani's, you don't have a single valuable idea emerging from the 84' vision. Oh, they try: talking mules  (strangely not in any italian dialect) , gay cowboys, a convent of nuns, a gold map divided in two. But all this goes nowhere because there is not a linear plot, a funny exchange, a well shot sequence. Nothing. When it ends, it ends unexpectedly (they didn't know, evidently, how to extricate themselves from the mess they had been working at) and you feel better, much better.
