It'll hurt if you are cut.

I saw this DVD (director's cut) before Thanksgiving because a friend of mine recommended. Now I don't know what to tell her. I was not impressed. The plot is chaotic. It stretches to all different directions. When I looked at reviews in Amazon, most of them give a very postitive review while many point out that the original music (which is better) is replaced in the director's cut and shorter version is much better.

Is it overrated or am I missing something here?

I saw it too, its definitely not something that I could give a sh*t about one way ot the other, it amazes me how some of these films get green lighted but I suppose there wasn't a whole lot of production costs associated with it. Jean Reno is always enjoyable.

I liked " Le Dernier Combat" much better though.

Thank you, Tuco and Cigar Joe. You guys proved that I'm not insane. For a moment, I thought I would need industrial strength amphetamine when I read tons of positive reviews in the Amazon page.

First, I thought this was a story about a mysterious relationship between the hero and dolphins, but the story has so much emphasis on diving contests, then it goes on to a love story. It goes on without converging to a clear theme.

The hero leaves his pregnant girl friend without showing any emotion. What is this? Even dolphins have more compassion.

"Le Dernier Combat" is Luc Besson's first feature film. Even though it's a low budget film, it was so much better.
