In the film where noodles takes deborah to the exclusive restaurant

what is the piece of music that the small orchestra is playing?

Yeah i downloaded it, but then i had to buy it because it's that good.
Only 7.99 from play.com for 19 tracks, not bad at all and it's got a nice little booklet with it as well.

Plus the quality is miles better

There is an excellent Amapola version by Placido Domingo.

I can think of at least one moment in OUATIA, when I think Leone's going too far with the music and it turns out a bit.. well.. corny: The "Yesterday" theme playing at the station is just, well, it's so not subtle. We'd get the idea without some supermarket version of the song.

I can think of no director today who would use Zamphir - pan themes - at least in my country pan flute has a reputation of being the most tacky instrument existing - recently a Zamphir record -  The Beatles for Panflute - has come out... think about it: The Beatles for Panflute... disgrace!!

But when Dominic spots Bugsy and the gang turn around in slow motion and that flute sets in - that's the one moment in history that gives the pan flute all the credit it needs and this moment represents it's sole legitimation for existing.

Thanks a lot, now I'll have a pan flute "earworm" for the rest of the day.

I think they're bundling the haunting Zamphir and legendary Slim Whitman (world's greatest yodeler IMO - you ever hear his version of "Yesterday"?) in a special collector's edition CD for Christmas, order NOW for only $1.99!

The dude on this board snarfing up the $2 DVD's should be all over this deal.
