I personally think he would changed it drastically. Better say - I`m sure of it. It would be a much better movie after "Leone`s touch". There were/there is/and there will be just one Leone!

You all make some interesting comments and few very interesting ideas about what films he would make if he lived longer, but did you all forget that he was planning to make a movie about America`s civil war, with (if I recal corectly) Richard Gere and Mickey Rorke in leading roles? I know that the cast is a bit strange, but I read this somewere...
Yeah. It was supposed to be a pilot and followed by a TV series, right?

I remember reading about the Gere/Rourke collaboration as well. That would have been interesting to see. Gere worked with Terrence Malick in Days of Heaven and did a great job. I've always seen Malick as a Leone type director myself.
