I am sure people have been well aware of Leone for awhile, they are aware of The Man with No Name. I loved the homages to Leone in Back to the Future Part III

Har, women don't have good taste in movies!

Besides marmota, of course.
You also forgot Sonny and Boardwalk Angel. And Jill.

And many others who just don't come to web boards, I believe...

Doctor Zhivago makes a nice date movie  ;)

One of my favorite films but I wouldn't watch it with a girlfriend.

I wouldn't want her to fall asleep.

But the Yuri and Lara story is so touching yet so tragic. And there's Maurice Jarre's beautiful score. I use to whistle it when I am out walking or at work.

I am reccently new to this site but I am one of those ladies who enjoys a good western. When I was 16 I saw the GB&U.
The one thing I remember is I did in fact have a hard time getting one of my friends to go with me, not that a few of the them didn't like great movies but at the time they had little interest in seeing a Leone film, can u even imagine, as I stated on  another thread, I saw it with my Italian mother who is now 80..she was a Clint Eastwood fan.
I also saw a Fistful of Dollars when it arrived on the big screen in the USA.

In saying all this I have always been a movie goer. I can remembeer in High School talking to my one teacher about all the movies I would see and I remember him laughing at me when we talked about Leone..U could say I was a a little obsessed..and still am..

On a serious note the music was so haunting..

Same age for me, but it's not so long ago for me... but probably the same strong experience. ;)

It`s great to see that there are woman fans of genius Leone (many greetings to you all - you have very good taste). We here talk about woman, but unfortunately, there are many man who don`t want to even watch his films, or westerns generally. I personaly know a few. Their stupidity and loss I guess...
