Ok since this is a brand new board, I'll start some topics.

Anyone here of any news regarding Once Upon A Time in the West coming out on DVD? Can't wait for that one!

I heard of some rumours about OUATITW coming in 2003 on DVD. Man that's my most wanted DVD!

It's scheduled to come out in the UK on R2 in June, no details yet about the extra features though.

There's a boxed set, limited edition, out now in Italy of all the Leones from Fistful through Duck plus a brand new documentary on a separate disc (and assorted location photos and other extras crammed into the 'cofanetto' [ Italian for box, sounds like coffin]
All nicely restored and anamorphically enhanced for the widescreen TV. Worth getting one of those, a region free player, and taking some Italian lessons (no English subs, but you already know the dialogue by heart)

Rumor has it Once Upon a Time in America is going to get the Italian treatment  in the very near future. Lucky them. And the oft overlooked COLOSSUS OF RHODES is out on two different DVD releases, Italian and French, I believe.

There's a DVD of OUATIA offered from www.northamericandvd.com that plays in Region 1/NTSC players - I'm not sure if it's the same as the all region disc  from Brazil (?).

Hopefully for us Region 1 collectors, no news is good news...?!? I'm hoping we will eventually see loaded discs of OUATITW, DUCK YOU SUCKER! and OUATIA (as we all know there could be all sorts of supplements for these titles!).

And by the way, kudos for the new & improved Message Board...wow!!!

Does anyone know if  Fistfull of Dynamite will appear in English for US DVD distribution?  I would like to contact the studio who has the rights to inquire about it.  I believe FOD and OUATIW will sell like hot cakes in the U.S.  restored to their full length.  I saw the V.O. opening of FOD in Paris (without the edits) which required an intermission.  This is the one that needs to be released.

it is a bit confusing. region 1 is us, canada and i think mexico (although i have never had to verify this). other regions are of a different format. the long and the short of it, if your a gringo and want to play it safe, buy region 1 unless you have the equipment to play milti-region DVDs (for example PS2).

I know there are many of you who are better qualitfied to answer this question so i'll let the pros take a more lengthy explination.

I'll ask the questions!

the above link is very helpful and I can confirm the DVD is iminent as my flatmate is getting copyright for a Leone interview from a BBc doc from the 80's , with Alex Cox on it as well. I watched a VHS last night of it, Toni Valeri was interviewed on it as well, unfortunately there were no subtitles on it!!!!
