DYS isn't even on the top 250 list (understandable because of it's obscurity), shameful.

it's in the top 200 box office success in theatre in France. Still in 2000, OUATITW was something like4th or 5th, and GBU was in the top 50...

Or the fact that it's an unremarkable film at best.

No replies to Groggy's comment?  I thought the storm clouds woulda opened up on him.  I will say DYS is a very good movie, but I don't rank it with OUATITW or GBU.  Now, I am still waiting for that R1 dvd release in widescreen so maybe that'll help.

Groggy's never ACTUALLY seen the movie, so I don't care. DYS deserves to be ranked along with GBU.

Sorry to say, but The Godfather Parts I and II are better than The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

While all three are on my Top 10, I just find the Godfather films to be better in almost every way. Acting, characters, depth, plot, and possibly even the music and direction. Possibly music and direction.

Now Once Upon A Time In America, that should be Top 10. O0

Not for me, I don't ever say to myself let me pop in The Godfather and watch it over and over again. I seen it once or twice and I don't care if I ever see it again, I don't get anything out of repeated viewings, and I'm Italain.

Now if you ask me as an Italian what film about Italians should be higher on the IMDb its Seven Beauties  O0 :

I think overall The Godfather I and II are better overall movies than GBU, but nowhere near as entertaining.  For me, a movie that entertains me is more important in the long run.  But don't get me wrong, I love The Godfather movies.  But joe is right, I can't pop those in the dvd player every couple months like I can for GBU.

Well, I loved GBU, OUATITW and OUATIA despite seeing them in full-screen, not to mention many other non-Leone movies.  So :P

Excellent! I also noticed, every Leone movie is rising!

GBU- from #5 (for a long time) to #4!

OAUTITW- from #24 to #22!

OUATIA- from #111 to #109!

FAFDM- from #135 to #133!

Slowly but surely, they're getting their due recognizement! :)

I've seen the whole dollars trilogy in pan-and-scan and enjoyed them thoroughly as well, but I'll tell you, after seeing that VHS copy and then moving to widescreen... biggest difference I've ever seen. Plus the fact that the VHs has like 30 minutes cut out. That's probably what hurts it the most.
