Aside from FC (recently converted), I'm probably the only kung fu fan here. But if there's anyone else, and you're a fan of the Shaw Brothers VENOMS series the above link should be most interesting.

There was too have been a Shaw Bros. convention four years ago but it fell through as some of the actors contacted wanted too much money to appear. This is the next best thing.

Lo is my favorite of the Venoms as well as one of my favorite HK actors. This will be an amazing experience. FIVE VENOMS isn't my favorite of their films. More of a mystery thriller than an actual kung fu movie. The well constructed storyline seems to be the focus of this one as the choreography is kind of stale compared to later installments. Still a fun comic book come to life. A remake is in production.

I enjoyed 5 venoms too. I've had a vhs copy for a long time now. I guess should try to track down the dvd soon.
didnt know about the movie until I saw gza from the wu-tang clan reccomend it in an interview.

You can get the legit disc from HK. www.dddhouse.com is where I get my Shaw discs from. There are other HK based companies though. They're  only about $11.00 ($85 HK dollars). It was one of the earlier releases. Try HKflix if you don't feel comfortable ordering from there or Poker Industries two US based companies. The discs will be higher from the US companies though. I've bought around 200 releases from HK and never had anything but good service. I have an order that should be arriving today in fact from dddhouse. It takes around 2 weeks sometimes less.

There's no deciding, I'm there! I had planned a trip to HK but that fell through (I think I told you this already) so until that happens, this is the next best thing. It's possible there may be others appearing. I've been a fan of Lo's since 1983 ever since I first saw 5 ELEMENT NINJAS on television. I may have seen him in some drive-in movies although the only Shaws I remember seeing in the theater are MASKED AVENGERS(1981), MAD MONKEY KUNG FU(1979)and MONKEY KUNG FU(1980) among dozens of indies.
