Hello!
I've been a fan of Sergio Leone movies for a long time.  My mother wouldn't let me watch them because they were 'too violent,' my grandfather, on the other hand, was cut from different cloth.  I remember watching the movies anyway on an old RCA videodisc player, and "A Fistful Of Dollars" and "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" being the only ones rentable at the time.
I beeged him to BUY "A Fistful Of Dollars," and he did.  I remember both TGTBATU and FDM were both double discs.  He hadn't seen FDM in awhile, and I'd never seen it.  It was a hot August night and I loved every second.
I recently discovered, even though I'm much older, that there's much more to Sergio Leone and the Spaghetti genre in general.  I just saw, for only the second time, Once Upon A Time In America, and am still awed by the fact that the same director who gave us such terrific films as OUATITW and others could make a gangster film.  The only film of Sergio's I haven't seen is "A Fistful Of Dynamite," or "Duck You Sucker."  And I'm waiting.  In suspense.
These movies have been a part of my life.  To see Clint Eastwood look down that rifle sight at Tuco on the rope at the end of TGTBATU, and of course the appearance of Henry Fonda (which I still remember my Grandpa saying "Good God in HELL!" Sergio's movies have me hypnotized to this day.  I'm 37 right now, and each time I watch one of his movies, I feel as I'm a youngster.  My favorite one cannot be pinned at this point.
Best wishes, all Sergio Leone fans, and I hope to have a good time on this board.  How do you like my username?!  Cool

Thank you both.  I've been lurking for awhile on this board, and I frankly thought I'd be branded as a "Spammer," it seems like a lot of discussion forums have been plagued by this lately.  No worries here! Now to find a suitable avatar & signature...hmmmm.  Smiley

Thank you, Leone Admirer! And I already made my first mistake.  Roll Eyes  It was actually For A Few Dollars More that I saw after the other two Clint Eastwood ones.  For some reason, it wasn't 're-run' on TV as much as the others.  And of course, nothing on TV compares to the uncut versions!
