Nothing wrong with taking it seriously, I think.

There are two kinds of films in this world:those which stay, even when their genre is forgotten, and those which don't.

Fist Full of Nanners

« #378 : May 01, 2011, 09:03:52 AM »

Hello all, just a little introduction for myself.
I'm a 47 year old artist and special effects guy , who plays gorillas in movies.
What does that have to do with spaghetti westerns ? Not a damned thing.
But I'm a gorilla that loves the hell out of spaghetti westerns and Morricone's music.
I've got 4 young children whom I've corrupted with these great movies.
I'm glad to be here, and it's great to see people who are so knowledgable about all things Leone.

Carson, Carson, nice to meet you Carson, I'm King Kongs grandfather, What was that you said about those nanners ?

This is Richard W, saying hello.
That's my real name.

I like westerns.

I've been reading the backpages and I find some very astute and knowledgeable people posting here.

I think Once Upon a Time In the West is pure poetry in motion.

Hi all!

Longtime Leone fan, ever since catching GBU late one night on cable many years ago. In fact, the Dollars films are what actually turned me on to Westerns. Previously, I thought they were all cliche-ridden and extremely tired. I loved all kinds of classic films no matter the language, but Westerns bored me to tears.
Then I was introduced to Sergio and the magic of Techniscope.
After recently re-watching Duck You Sucker  and mulling about the ending's implications for the zillionth time (not to mention the incorrect 5.1 mix!) I decided to join the board.

Here's to many great discussions.

Hello to everybody:)

I'm a 21 years old male from Germany who has just recently rediscovered his love for Leone's movies and Morricone's music. Yesterday I ordered the Italian BDs for FAFDM, GBU and MNIN as well as the German one for OUATIA. Together with last year's BD of OUATITW that's quite a good start to rewatch these movies finally. When I first watched them I was 14 or 15 years old and had to buy them all on DVD instantly. It's great that now, only a few years later, most of them are available in HD and yet sad, because almost all of these BD releases are only a compromise of what would have been possible (regarding original cuts, music, crappy quality, ...)
I'm glad I finally joined this forum, I've been a reader for a few years now!
Well and that's it for now :)
