I'm just gonna butt in and say I saw most likely a print struck from the same elements as Peace did as it also had a greenish yellow tint (and some very bad tramlines and splices) but it was still an amazing experience to see it in the movie theater.  Afro

Yeah, I dream of seeing OUATITW on the big screen, any Leone film for that matter. They're made for theatre viewing!

Considering there is an interview with Marty in Once Upon A Time In Italy describing their meetings I doubt it.

Where did you get the chance to see this in a theatre Peacemaker?

I saw it 2 years ago at a theater in Brooklyn. The theater was beautiful with marble steps and a HUGE screen.

It's an amazing experience. Still remember it like it was yesterday.

Oh and LA is correct, the theatrical prints show signs of aging. During the duel at the end there was a green line running vertically down the screen. Not horrible but it did distract during the zoom-in to Harmonica's eyes.

hahahaha I've never thought about it but you're right. He didn't wear the mustache right. If you think about it though, Dafoe was the perfect actor for Sergio Leone. He has the perfect face and talent in my opinion.

he would have been the perfect actor for leone but it also brings to mind if it was possible for brando to make a movie with him (i doubt it though Grin)

I'm sure you've heard the story that a few years before Leone's death, when he found out that DaFoe was playing in The Last Temptation of Christ, he reportedly exclaimed, "This is the face of a murderer, not our savior!"

which should have been right up Leone's alley, Fonda for Frank, Dafoe for Christ.
