I am appalled by the inclusion of Cable Hogue on that list. I freely admit that I don't enjoy the singalong or the end all too much, but Robards carries this movie with his masterful performance.

I agree, Cable Hogue is a great movie Sad.

I also don't think Hidden Fortress is the worst of Kurosawa, but, as the article pointed out, he never directed anything bad.

I am not a big fan of Hidden Fortress, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be on this list. As much as I love Robert Altman, he should be on there for Popeye. Maybe F.F.C. for Jack too. Certianly De Palma for making Snake Eyes.

For Sergio Leone I would put Fistful of Dollars as his worst.

It's a great film, but it pales in comparison to his later work.

If Leone was included on the list, however, they would probably put DYS as his worst. Most people who like Leone's films seem to be disappointed with DYS, even though I think it's his second best.

I'm a big fan of Python Terry Gilliams movies and i taped (but not yet watched) Brothers Grimm last Xmas so perhaps i should check that out.

What about worst movies by the top sw directors?Well theres the dreadful Gods Gun by Sartana/Sabata director Gianfranco Parolini, the totally embarassing The Crazy Bunch by that other great Sartana/Spirito Santo/Hallelujah legend Giuliano Carmineo, excruciatingly bad (but enjoyable) Cry Onion by Enzo Castellari who of course made Keoma. And i'm still nervous about watching through Sergio Corbucci's Samurai!  Embarrassed

Has this guy actually seen all of AK's films? I'm thinking he's missed a few, maybe Do desu ka den and a few others. His statement is stupid if he hasn't seen them all...and even if he has (cause no way is HF the worst).

Yeah when I saw this I expected to see that DYS was there. Peckinpah is the one I disagree with the most, though the AK just seemed to be put there as an after thought. The Godfather Part III I definatly agreed with though.

I dig DYS. Obviously I'm bias cuz on uni work...but i think its a very misunderstoof film. The omly problem was Coburns Irishn accent. I still maintain the politics of DYS is far more mature than anything put togather by Corbucci, Damiani or Lizzani.

Through trying to refute this article, I found out that Ridley Scott is attached to directing Blood Meridian, and suddenly I forgot everything else I'd come up with.

I'm not sure if Ridley + McCarthy = good or bad though.

I haven't seen all of Tepepa, but there's something I really like about the opening sequence. I don't know what it is...maybe the constant direct movement from left to right?
