Uhmm, seems like at IMDB they have a debate about this, with people saying this is a good, though not excellent, comedy western; and other ones panning it throughout. The only thing on which everybody seems to concur is that Marilý Tolo is sexy as hell here and, not being a Tolo fan, the fact that I agree seals the subject definitively.
I doubt that a better choice of the leads could have saved the final result, but the choice of Southwood and Halsey didn't help at all. At the italian db they have good words for the russian reverend while I think he's embarassing. The whole sequence in the cathouse sucks, while the rest never made me laugh once. Having seen some Bava horrors I even doubt this was directed by him, at least entirely. His sense of composition was not loose like herein.

Terrible film.

Had a shining moment in the beginning with a crippled having his crutches shot off but it gradually grows into crap right afterwards.

A shame Bava has his name on this.

Well I didn't laugh out loud, it was just an entertaining bit. Besides if I recall correctly he wasn't cripple for life (well...after the shooting he may be) he was healing.

It was painful to watch this POS from the beginning till the end, but somehow I did manage. To me, this movie is a fine example of how the Italians did manage to kill the SW genre. Also, I think this particualr movie may have been made more for "internal consumption" than for exporting (the "cornuto" scene is, for example, very Italian).

Poor acting, poor direction, a poor plot and a silly sense of humour. And yes, Marilu Tolo is very sexy, but she does not resemble an Indian woman at all.
