It had already been hinted to the former (awol) moderators, to create a board simply dedicated to listing in alphabetical order the SWs as we watch them and discuss them. I think it would be useful and, as (mainly) me, Banjo and FC are about to watch them all (or almost) it would result in the end as the best resource available anywhere in english, all the more valuable taking into account our different pov's.
Is it a very complicated thing to do, Banjo?

I'm hopeless in knowing how to set up such things Titoli.

Maybe on the "other films" section we could create an index thread listing all the sw's reviewed on this site together with a link to each individual review thread.I'm sure this would work fine and we could put a sticky on the index thread to keep it permanently at the top.

Perhaps we could just change the other films to SW Discussion?

Not really because not all Leone related films are sw's. Undecided

As the main contributors it's, for the moment, us 3, let's settle it between us. Consequently we two already make a majority.  Cool

OK i'll be starting work on it fairly prompto, but its the FA Cup final today!

Of course every single existing sw review thread is going to be linked into the new sw index thread.I'm also gonna be going through the likes of Cigar Joes,Leone Admirers,Firecrackers and Arizona Colt's general sw discussion threads to extract their reviews and paste them on an existing individual title review threads or  create a new thread where there isn't one.

No-one's being excluded here and the more sw's that get written about the better, but please be careful everyone to make a search before creating new topics to save myself and LA the trouble of having to merge identical topics.  Smiley

If I can ask: how does one determine whether a non-Leone related film topic gets put in the Other Films or Off-Topic Discussion? Because I've seen some films in OF that have little to do with Leone, and yet others in the OTD board. What gives? This just arises from that jerk Juan Miranda Wink demanding that the admins move my "Best David Lean film?" thread into the OTD thread when threads about other non-Leone films weren't similarly moved.

It does clearly say below the "other films" heading that "all other Leone related films should be included here" so strictly speaking movies like Spiderman or Waterworld shouldn't be there at all and i've already started to move topics over to "other discussions" that have absolutely no connection to Leone in any shape or form. Here's an idea for you guys, that you can feel free to discard:

I have a "fansite" devoted to a comic book character (Steve Ditko's The Question), and I'm currently running what I call a "Book Club" -- a separate forum from my regular public anything-goes forum where people get into serious discussions about the comics we're reading.

I've got it set up to read them one at a time -- a comic a week -- and though we haven't started yet, I've got folks interested in writing reviews, essays, posting old interviews with comic creators, and basically developing a complete, almost academic study of these books. I'm really excited about it starting as soon as DC Comics stops delaying the release of the first set of trade paperbacks!

You could institute something like that here -- a new subforum with a viewing list -- and everyone could watch that week's movie and discuss it in-depth in the forum. Sort of like we do already, except everyone would be on the same page with a fresh viewing (leading to a more specific discussion) and wouldn't have to necessarily bump old topics.

Just a thought. The Sergio Leone AV Club or something like that.

Like I said, feel free to discard it.

Or...perhaps even a separate site, perhaps Wordpress-based? I don't want to take business away from the SLWB, but it might be cool having a separate site called "The Spaghetti Review" or some such.
