happened to come across this on youtube. most of you probably already know that metallica are huge fans of GBU and that they play ecstacy of gold before every concert. well, now they have made their own cover lol:

it's pretty decent for a band that fell off many years ago.

The glance that makes holes in the silver screen

I've heard that before and I have to say that now it sounded better (I don't know why). Still, nothing compared to the original. The fact that they did this, is way cooler than the piece itself :D!

In fact, I'm really looking forward to their next album. The two new songs are better than the whole last album (which is BTW pretty crappy). I hope they release it before the Christmas so I can ask it for present!

I was on their gig in Tallinn last summer and I had this extraordinary moment which will always remain as one of my top 10 experiences: I had been awake for 36 hours, my legs and head were aching. We had been there, on the spot, for like six hours and eaten nothing. And just when I was ready to give up I heard the first notes of this one particular piece of music (you know what I mean!) and saw Tuck rolling into frame on this big screen they always have in big concerts. I was in awe! Not so I didn't know they are using the song, but still! And then the band walked on stage: my favourite band in the whole world! Robert, Kirk, James, and finally Lars jumped on his stool, and for this little moment I had it all: the best band, the best song, the best movie ever!

I didn't get tickets to their concert in Helsinki next summer, but on some level I feel it's better that way. Nothing can top that experience. There were 78 000 people on that gig, and I bet many of them shared the same experience.
