You should have ordered it on the internet. I received my set Friday, although that will be irrelevant in a few days time anyways.

Yeah, I'm going to order it right now. Thanks Tuco!

Thanks Joe! I was determined to bring it home the first day, so eliminated the online route.
My local SunCoast Video sold it for $64.95.

Btw, I'm a New Yorker in my thirties who has been a Leone geek since first seeing a faded print
of 'OUATITW' on t.v. as a kid. I collect Leone posters, lobbies, and books - and have seen
Eastwood, Bronson, Wallach, Robards, Cardinale, and Morricone all in person (Morricone in
concert this past Feb.).

I compared the new R1 FAFDM release to my original DVD last night on our Hi-def 30".  People we are talking about a 35% improvment in visual quality and picture information. The audio is a little better too.  It's a no brainer.  These films got the red carpet treatment! The movie looks like new!

Cheers,

Eric

Hey, that's great Joe! I've got a brother up in those parts.

Wish I had known other site-rs back in Feb. - I would've loved to have
been able to compare notes afterwards..

I already own The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Special Edition so i'm just going to pick up the other three individual releases.  Probably get them from DeepDiscount since their having that 20% off sale.  Should be around $44.

I finally recieved the Anthology. Is anybody else upset that the films are not individually packaged? I thought they'd have a case for each film. I dunno, I guess I'll get used to it.  :-\

Was only going to pick up DYS since I heard the sound is a vast improvement over the region 2 dvd but then I heard everything else, besides GBU, is getting the original Mono in english.

I thought that the box set was poorly designed, so i bought FOD,FaFDM and DYS separately for $15.00 apiece, seeing how TGTBaTU is the same, why bother?

$15 each is great price.  Lowest I saw in retail was just under $18.  After reading everyone's comments, I did go out scouting about my area this past week; no Sergio Leone Anthology sets to be found.  I'm kind of surprised since it is MGM product.  The places that had individual discs, did not have Duck You Sucker at all.  I think I would of bought it if it was available.  They only carried the Dollars trilogy films. Rather foolish approach by the retailers since most more than likely have those films and would be more inclined to pick up Duck You Sucker first if they decided to take an individual film approach.   Guess I'm still undecided on what i'll do.  Definitely agree what everyone says about ordering online.
