Just what the title says.I thought it would be most appropriate to post it here becouse of Morricone's new song "I knew i loved you"(a love song written to the melody of "Deborahs theme").It's a beautiful song.My only problem with it is that celine Dion sings it(can't stand her).Enjoy.

Hey namelessstranger. Yeah, after the Oscars, we had a long discussion about this in the Sergio Leone News board. It's a beautiful piece of music for sure. I however like Celine Dion, and I think she's one of the most talented singers ever to come a long. I would rather have "Claudia's Theme" played without any lyrics though. It sort of took away from the song, but it was still beautiful none the less.

I like Celine Dion but this only detracts from the beautifully haunting original theme.  Contrast with the following which is one of my favorite videos on Youtube:

Good anyway to see that Ennio Morricone has been honored - along with John Barry and John Williams, one of the best film music composers around.

I thought the lyrics are okay. Some songs don't need lyrics though. Celine was fine, not excellent, but pretty good (not that I know much about singing). I would've liked it more if they had just played the main theme: concert style. Or GBU's theme. As long as we're still on the subject of music, anybody dissapointed that Babel won Best Score? Javier Navarrete made a great score for Pan's Labyrinth, in fact the only score I can really remember from 2006. He was robbed. The only piece of music I liked from Babel wasn't even original! Huh
