My dad's not a Leone fan, and my mom is pretty squeamish regarding such things. . . she wouldn't let me get "The Wild Bunch" until I was in tenth grade (even though I'd seen it a couple of times before then). It was on my birthday list every year from 6th-10th Grade, and yet I never got it. . .
At least our big TV's downstairs, so I can avoid people walking in during nasty parts. When I first watched it before we got our big TV, my brother came out to eat a snack right during the scene where Noodles was sodomizing Carol - talk about awkward! (And then the DVD overheated a few minutes later. . .)

Talk about awkward! Holy sh*t! I'm laughing just thinking about it! (no offense of course)
Well, if it makes you feel any better, that wasn't sodomy.

Well, what made it worse was that my brother was 12 years old when that happened. I hope it didn't traumatize him for life.

Yes, but I'm sure you saw it of your own free will instead of walking in during a rape scene.

Yeah. Has your brother seen the whole movie afterwards?

Sorry, can't say anything else but

I just watched
The Lion in Winter
for the first time, and I did a search for that movie here to see if anyone discussed it, and this thread from 8 years ago (long before I was a member) popped up. What a great read
It's a shame I didn't know Groggy back when he was such a cute little kid. And to think that he once accused
me
of having a persecution complex
good times .....................
p.s. Groggy, I guess you had your Leone week like six weeks ago? or is that tradition long gone? with the fancy dvd's and blu rays now, we miss out on the little stuff like special Leone weeks

You'd have loved the Grog at the time. He was a strong minded and very vocal Republican.
I hated that Tuco a The Ugly guy so much. Good thing he's not around anymore.

who cares about Republicans? I mean, I am registered Republican but I am a libertarian. Politicians are (almost) all the same jackasses, whether there is a "D" or "R" after their name. I believe in liberty and that's all. Not something that Europeans would know about anymore
