Also, we all know what he did. It was very cool ending.

Did it he only because he wanted to go "his way"?

He was going to die regardless. Why not go out in a blaze of glory?!

Well, he was probably in great pain as well. After all, Ruiz had just shot him up. If you know you're dying, there's no reason to prolong your agony.

That's what you get, Drink, for not appreciating the genius of When You Read This Letter.

He should have just brought Juan with him. Poor Juan was left alone with no family, no close friends. Poor guy.

It was in darkness... I feel like he was shooting more or less blindly, just seeing a silhouette and shooting at it...

Well, Major, I shall see you in Texas!

There's a post on IMDB at Saving Private Ryan's board that this DYS conversation would qualify for.  It's called "The Most Glorious Death Scenes" which in itself is serious enough.  But in the actual post, the poster said "Basically you list characters who don't go out like punks."  That just made me laugh, it seemed so out of left field.  ;D

Don't read the post though if you don't want to see characters that die.  I'm always amazed that people read them and then are angry when a movie "gets ruined" for them.   ::)

If you write "SPOILER" most people will read it and then cry.  ;D

Cheyenne could die earlier if he wanted. He had a gun. But he needed Jill's coffee.  ;D ;D ;D

So Cheyenne suffered but he was at least happy to see a woman like Jill. And drinking good coffe. Poor Sean couldn't even have a coffee...  ;D
Do you think he used the "holy water"?
