: What was your first reaction to the quirkey, but exceptional Morricone score upon first hearing?
Didn't like it, still don't like it.   -0 (0%)
Wasn't crazy about it but gradually grew on me.   -11 (42.3%)
LOVED IT, had to have the soundtrack ASAP.   -14 (53.8%)
Thought it was ok, not Morricone's best.   -1 (3.8%)

Considering my chosen handle, I guess it's no surprise that this is my favorite soundtrack. I got the soundtrack right after my first viewing back in '71. Ruined two vinyls after repeated listening. Got the CD only last year.

 I am with you on this one Sean, I too loved the score. A bit different than others but nonetheless magical..

 ;)  i didn't like it at first but it grew on me.  I wore out my original DYS vinyl, then got another to hear it again--this new album was AFOD.  Bummahs. Shoulda kept the original virgo intacto.
  Check out the version of DYS music on YouTube. Very Clever tribute to Morricone.

Saw it in theater when first released, didn't buy soundtrack until 2008.
