My next goal is to nail down an interview with Claudia. What do you think my
chances are? The big problem is she doesn't speak english. Or does she???
I was lucky with Vivienne. I had been researching for months and as soon as I
mentioned it on the other thread, Mike Siegel mentioned her new photography
site. Pure luck!  I may have to write a letter to her  if I have no luck with the e-mail
address.
It would be a grand achievement to reach Claudia. She is a major international star. Although, I'm not sure she was on the inside. The upskirt project was kept from her.
As I said before, Bertolucci would be the best still living inside man for OUATITW.
Anyway, if Claudia has a problem with english, I know she speaks fluent french and I could help you there.

It be a dream to get Claudia!!! I don't think she'd have a problem with English. I've heard her in quite a few interviews and she speaks very well.

Just for the record, I've heard Gabriele Ferzetti speak English too, but I don't think he's fluent and he's VERY accented.

I think the OUATITW dubbing was nothing short of masterful.
Disagree. I prefer Claudia's natural voice.

could have fooled me. The woman who dubs Cardinale's voice sounds the same. She even has an accent as well.

By the way, snagging Chandler for interview was brill! Fistful Of Dynamite is my favorite of Leone's.

Maybe the accents are similar, but Claudia's voice is deeper.

If you ever watch The Leopard with the English dub, something disconcerting occurs. CC is of course in the film, but in this case she is dubbed by someone else. However, the woman who dubbed her in OUATITW dubs a different actress here. There are actually scenes where "Jill's" voice talks to Claudia, an odd effect.

I think CC's natural voice is a bit on the husky side. The softer voice
in OUATITW was more agreeable with me, IMO.

I agree, but I wonder if that would have been suitable for this film. :-\

Claudia has a deep husky voice as you can easily hear in the interview she gave on the OUTITW DVD.
When she started her career in Italy, she had a problem with italian as she had a  french accent (she was born in Tunis).
She is married since many years to Pasquale Squitieri (good italian director) and lives in Paris since about two decades.
She speaks fluently french, italian and english (with an accent).

As for Marisol, yes, she's still alive and Marianne Koch is now 76 years old. She went back to univeristy to study medicine from 1971 to 1974, after which she was a practicing internist until 1997. Her last movie was shot in the mid seventies. She lives in Munich, Germany.
