Also, I've finished it. Anyone else read it? We can speek about the plot.  ;)

My first feeling is:  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( for my favourite charakter (not for Potter, I hate that little bastard  ;D and hate his SOB father too...).
But HE...  :'(
Oh poor man. He was a real hero...
But He goes to the Heaven. (Like Working Class... um, that's another tale. ;D)

Well, my initial reaction was, "Wow, all those spoilers I heard were such complete bullshit."

And I agree that "He" was the best character of the series.  By like... a million miles.

Agreed, Snape was the best.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Harry? He's just so bland. Too much of a boy scout.

When I said "good" I meant he was good in contrast to evil. He never was evil, just made bad choices, it was his love for Lily is what turned him over to the good side.

And you'd be suprised how many people don't like Harry Potter even though they read the books, I don't understand why people don't like the main character, I actually thought he was a well developed character. And a boy scout? Did you catch the part where he tortured that Death Eater? He has acted out many time on anger. Rowling herself says he is not a saint.

I started read it for Snape, Lucius, Remus, Sirius and other male charakters... (I found a lot of fanfics about them, and I wanted to know who these men with strange names are...  ;D)

I'm disappointed Lucius survived...  :( And poor Lupin and Tonks died. Not to mention Fred...  :'( I think Jo watched too much SWs, especially from TSG type, but not enough.

I don't like Harry very much, but I respect him. He's not a superhero, but he's really brave and in the end he became a Man.

But if I wrote it, the final duel were like so:

Harry and the Dark Lord standing like two SW charakters before the final duel, and then would came a lot of flashbacks... and at the end one curse. Voldy dies.
At the very end: Harry watches the bodies of Death Eaters, and he counts: '10,000 Galleons... 15,000... 17,000... 20,000... 22,000...'
(Lucius tried to curse him in the back, but he's faster)
'27,000... All right now.'
 >:D

Haha, and I believe it was you who wrote your own version of the beginning of Deathly Hallows, taking ideas from Harmonica's intro at the train station. You should write a fan ficition based on spaghetti westerns.

Yeah I was disapointed when Lucius survived, but he pretty much give up being a Death Eater when he found out Voldemort was going to kill his son, plus his wife helped Harry out in the end.

I was thinking how sweet would it be if Ennio Morricone composed for the movie, that would be super sweet.

The epilogue was waaay lame.  I don't care which characters made babies with each other.

I didn't.
The epilogue felt tacked on and cliched.

And what parent, in their right mind, would send their kids off to the most dangerous place in the world?
Did they learn nothing for seven years?

It's not dangerous anymore now that the villian is dead. That was the point of the epilogue, to show everyone who survived has moved on.

You just reminded me of the "AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER" ending. Wow, what a crock.

she even had her own variation of the wording...

"ALL WAS WELL"

"all was well" just means no more Voldemort. Even though they are living a good life, they still have suffered many losses. It also rules out any possiblity of another book.
