During the 2006 celebration I heard that Metallica  asked if it was possible to shoot a video here. They will probably clean up the arena if this shooting happens.

I have to wonder if they've even seen the movie...  or cared for it.

At least Lars Urich and Kirk Hammet don't strike me as the type that have..

I could be wrong.

They must love the movie.

They play Ecstasy of Gold before every concert.

Yeah, I agree. In fact it was originally their managers idea, and they say it was the only great idea that manager ever had. I remember reading someone of them (I think Hetfield) praising the movie and saying that Morricone's score has influenced their songwriting.

It's the band's favorite movie. It's common that they play it on the bus while on tour.

I don't like the idea of them making a video on such sacred land though. Let's hope the giant grass monsters will devour them before they commit their sin.

The grass monster looks like this, except in green:

If they say so...

I just don't see it anywhere.

MAYBE in the intro to the track Unforgiven (go figure), but... that's just the equivalent of Ozzy Osbourne saying that Black Sabbath was greatly influenced by The Beatles... it's hard to see.

hmm... are you talking about the new band members?  Or the old ones like Jason Newsted and Cliff Burton?

I know Hertfield was probably the main culpret... but i just don't see the rest being so into it...

I thought he just said he admired the Beatles.

I can't see how the beatles could've possibly influenced black sabbath.

The old ones I think.

James Hetfield once said ""I have been inspired by Morricone's raw unbridled emotion, especially in his western scores,"

But yeah, he did say that his music was influenced by The Beatles...  I wonder what he was on... same thing Hertfield was on, I guess.  ???

Well, considering we're talking about Ozzy Osbourne, probably a sh*tload of LSD.
