Dear James,

..........I was surprised to see that neither David or I got a credit! Unless I missed it, but I don't think so. Do you know why?.......

I am not sure what she means. She is in the opening credits right after Valli and before Warbeck.

Which version do you have SSS? I wonder which version she watched?  I gave my UK copy to another member, so I
can't check. Can we get some feedback from the other members?

The new R1 DVD for sure.
Last night saw the french version on public tv here. Almost complete: missing last flashback but has Mao quote and Achenback blowup. She is in the opening credits too.
I have a FOD tv butchered VHS copy somewhere, I'll dig it out and see.
I think she is in the opening credits of every version.

Glad to hear SSS. I'll let her know when she replies to my interview follow-up.
Thanks.

I definitely remember her being on the credits of my old VHS copy. She was fairly high-billed, too.

Excellent reading and well done the Geoman-1 for the primary research. Interesting too that someone who probably has had no exposure to the kinda recent John/Sean controversy on DVD and cyberspace has no compunction but to name Sean as David Warbeck. We just need to find out now from Ennio himself who the thrice named Oirishman in his score refere's too and the case may safely be closed.  Huh

Yes, Juan, do keep trying. Ms. Chandler, on this point, is not someone who is speaking with inside knowledge, but as a recent viewer of the film. She merely jumped to the wrong conclusion. But show her a script (where Warbeck is designated "Nolan"), apprise her of the controversy, and she might well recant (or at least plead agnosticism). As you say, better witnesses are available. Doubtful that we'll hear from Morricone; perhaps Geoman-1 can apply to Claudio Mancini, or even to Carla Leone herself.

Sergio Donati might also be a good contact.  In all the featurette pieces, and interviews, he seems quite gracious and giving.  He seemed to have a personal relationship with Leone.  Guess he's active in television these days.

My brother got a response from Scott Tiler, who played Noodles in the kid segment. He found his website and emailed him. www.scotttiler.com. I might post his response on the OUATiA board one day if I get permission. It was kind of short, though

If Dave Jenkins or Noodles Slow Stir E-mails me (see the Profile), I'll provide Sergio Donati's E-mail address (at least it was his old E-mail address).  He actually did respond to me a few years back, was very nice, and in English.  I had asked him about the title GBU, and he told me it was first thought of in Italian (essentially The Good, the Brute, the Bad, because it flowed better), then put as GBU in English afterward.  I should've asked him about the German title (Zwei Glorreiche Halunken) as Two Magnificent Rogues (2 !!!) doesn't make much sense at all.
