  If you can rent it or find it cheap, maybe less than $10, its worth it.  It's a bad movie, but it is entertaining.  Definitely qualifies as "It's so bad, it's good" type movies.  The music is excellent though and makes it worth watching.  It's never a good sign though when you're rooting for the Orca to win by the end. 

You're supposed to root for the Orca. Harris is the bad guy here. Unwittingly, but the bad guy nonetheless at least until he fathoms what he did to the family of whales what the drunk driver did to his own family. Brilliant music as already mentioned. The score has been available for years. And this movie has more in common with MOBY DICK than JAWS although it's often mistakenly compared with the latter. Love this movie and Harris vehemently defended it upon its theatrical release. Not sure why he gets slack for his performance as he goes from being a confident and arrogantly stubborn fisherman to a tortured shell of a man who seems to want to die for all the harm his actions cause over the course of the film.

Its one of his best but the main theme is not his, However he did a great job of adapting it to make it his own

I have the Tarantino's dvd laying dormant for when I'll feel in the right mood, so I didn't know he had put the tune in his movie. And that makes me wondder if it wasn't reading my post which inspired him to do it.

For me, this piece I discovered at the 2007 NYC concert at Radio City: Abolisson. He played it twice. It remained in my head for months after. I bought the video of the film Burn with Brando. BTW. I'm the one shouting: BRAVO, at the end of the clip. I was seated 5th row front on the left.
