I remember hearing a song from something called "Even If I Wanted to Work, What Would I Do?" (or something like that) which was a very bizarre track using the same "wop" noise used in DYS. I haven't heard it in like six years but it's still stuck in the back of my mind.

I liked his work in "The Hellbenders."

I also think his work in "Casualties of War" is some of the best he's ever done, but it often doesn't come up.

I have a 1973 (2?) record album titled Ennio Morricone Un Film Una Musica which has many title tracks that I like very much such as METELLO, COSA AVETE FATTO A SOLANGE?, UCCELLACCI e UCCELLINI, MADDELINA, IL MAESTRO e MARGHERITA, SACCO e VANZETTI and others that will probably be more recognisable to some of us here as it goes into Western and Crime territory.

His Giallo score for BLACK BELLY OF THE TARANTULA is also a favorite. I like the girl's moans in the title track very creepy and sensual.

I've been meaning to check out the Morricone/Baez collaboration SACCO AND VANZETTI having sampled two wonderful sampler tracks on a Morricone compilation.Baez topical lyrics and soaring but pure pitch perfect vocals,not to mention Morricone wonderful orchestrations,really makes me want to see the movie too. Smiley

From Netflix, I got a movie called A Lizard In A Women's Skin. A Lucio Fulci movie. Morricone did the score, which was one thing I liked about a movie I didn't. It wasn't amazing, but interesting.

What counts as a lesser known work?

Ever since hearing "Nuddu" from Il Belissimo Nevembre (I hope I wrote the title right - and at first I thought it was from Great Silence, because it's on the same album), I think that is my favourite. Smiley
