Just popped in my soundtrack and Peace is right. It is "fired".

"whenever Ringo loved Ringo Fired"

Loved?

That doesn't make sense, it's probably laughed.

That's true.

One thing's for sure, the singer sucks at English pronunciation.

Then somebody needs to correct Howard Hughes then in his excellent ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE ITALIAN WEST book. It still sounds to me like "love" and "fought". Haven't listened to it in a while though but I did watch the first one again recently. I would like to know.

The movie version of the song is muffled, due to the age of the soundtrack, but on cd it sounds like "Fired".

That could be written by somebody who thought they heard "fought".

It honestly sounds like "fired" to me.

It's an italian page. You say it's "Fired", I say it's "loved" and "fought". So the italians and Hughes are wrong, I guess.

Just take a quick listen to the lyrics on cd.
You'll see.
