but seriosly.... how do you have a serious debate when someone uses a word like OWNZ  Roll Eyes

You're right. Without that word I met this opinion on IMDb, everyone was mad on that guy, but I ended up having a nice conversation with him... which is what being polite is for. And it brought me to desire to hear classical compositions by Morricone, that are obviously very hard to get...
But with that word... hm. I would probably just say I like Morricone more and try to leave it be, if the other side leaves it be. Or try to educate a bit, if the other side can be educated.

Nope.

And after your comment I'm not interested anymore.

Something like that appears from time to time on other sites I visit and I'm really tired of trying to decode it... so I want to thank you all here that you all usually write with sense. Smiley

To me the two composers are even. I won't say one is better than the other, and I don't think anyone is better than them. Not at the moment, I still have many film composers to listen to.

Well, you have a lot of good and legitimate arguments there. There are a handful of great composers who are highly talented in their own right. What makes Ennio a bit different is his style. Not to many people sound like him.

Oh I agree, there is just no comparrison between them. If I listen to every single soundtrack by Williams and Morricone I can make my descision. It will take years for me to do that though.

hahahahahahahahaa!!! That's pretty hilarious. The reason I posted this is because a friend of mine actually told me John Williams owned Morricone. He just didn't say John was better, he told me he owned Morricone! What a heated argument that was.

I definitely needed to be present when you were having that particular debate. But Kevin you said it best Morricone has his own style and there hasn't been a film composer and there are some pretty good ones who can move me with his music the way he does. Its a gift from above no other way to describe it. When I listen to "Ecstacy of Gold" I feel like I am in church..
