Moe's Backroom Lager -- Leone referenced in new beer name?

Yesterday, two friends of mine independently told me about a new series of beers called "Moe's Backroom." They've seen both a Lager and a Pale Ale so far.

One buddy bought a six-pack because he's a fan of THE SIMPSONS and thought the name was a sly, unlicensed reference to Moe's Tavern on that show. The other figured it was a knowing nod to ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, especially since the label says "Celebrating the repeal of Prohibition 1933."

I'm eager to try some!

I doubt it. There are like zero similarities between them aside from the name, and the fact that they're barkeeps.
