I see an awful lot of A-list actors in this bunch (although Saul Rubinek and Michael J. Pollard are two of my favorites). When I think of character actors, I think of people like the following:

Pete Postlethwaite

Jeffrey Combs

William Forsythe

Vincent Schiavelli

William Atherton

James Gammon

Roscoe Lee Brown

Michael Lerner

Henry Silva

The glance that makes holes in the silver screen

Isn't Savini more of the kind of guy who you get to your picture to attract loyal fans in rather than an actor who you hire to get a high-quality performance? You know, a cult person. ??? I'm absolutely the wrong person to judge him or anything simply because I haven't seen him in any movie except Dawn of the Dead. This is just the impression I have of him.
