"Finally, I believe ONLY in dynamite...."

It appears that one scene of the "Bull" epsiode of C.S.I.: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (broadcast in the USA by CBS-TV on January 10, 2008) may have included some images literally lifted from Leone's westerns.

Two western images appeared briefly on a Vegas casino hotel room wall, where the C.S.I. team had gone to investigate the death of a rodeo bull-rider.

The wall art consisted of a large mural, made up of two black figures against a wide orange background. It looked sorta like the image on the left was Henry Fonda as 'Frank' in ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST, possibly from that movie's final gunfight.

The image on the right resembled the closeup of the hand of Eli Wallach as 'Tuco,' reaching for his pistol during the final gunfight of THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY.

Both of these Western icons appeared to be optically flipped "mirror-image" style.

I'd love to know if this perception is correct. I'd also love to know if that's a real hotel room in Vegas or a soundstage in California. Man, if the former is true, I wanna reserve it for my next trip!

I was out at daughter's softball practice last night, but I did make a DVD copy and a VHS copy of last night's episode (I'm an investigative analytical chemist myself) and will watch it tonight, then post what I think.  I don't think there's any way I know to post a screen capture of it.  CSI Las Vegas, Lost, Desperate Housewives are the only stuff that's "can't miss" for me, and I'll also try to catch the Simpsons.  And I'll probably watch next week's prequel to Lonesome Dove on CBS.
