It's pretty groovy... makes it look like a Tarantino film.  Seems to me like a cute little joke; anyone who considers it a "serious" trailer for the film will undoubtedly be outraged (but then, the original 60s trailers were even worse).

After some despairing I found it on disc one on the main screen. Its kinda cool, but I'd say more Guy Ritchie than Tarantino. Its funny how the fast-forwarded zooms and pans work so well, since the actors managed to stay so still.

Very cool addition to the dvd !  A nice contrast to the original trailer.

Harmonica Player

Personally, I hated that trailer.  I just gave it a look see.  It just doesn't fit the movie at all.  Now, if you want to see an awesome trailer, which might be hard to find, check out the AMC commercial for it.  It's so great.  Especially since the play Harmonica's theme for it :D

Thanx for telling us about the hidden trailer.
But it does'nt make it for me, mainly because there is'nt any Morricone music in it.

The Easter Egg trailer is accessed differently on the Region 1 and Region 2 versions.

Just FYI, it was created by Andrew Goddard, who edited the documentaries on the OUATITW DVD.

Paramount loved it so much, they used it in cinema advertising for the DVD release in the UK.

Largo, welcome to the board. And kudos to you and Mr. Goddard and everyone else associated with the OUATITW SE DVD. An amazing release (and at $9.99 in some outlets, the greatest value for money in DVD-dom).
