It was released here in CR, it costs 39 CZK, but it has some bad reviews, so I'm wondering whether I should spend those 39 CZK or not. Grin Do you think it's worth it?

Maybe I should take the risk and let you others know...

Doesn't  the CR have rental stores or better yet a Netflix type service? If not you can start it and make a million korunas .  Wink

We have rental stores, there are two of them in my town, but as far as I know, they don't have many western DVD's... the one we're going to doesn't even have OUATITW DVD, only a VHS... or at least didn't have it last year when I wanted to screen it in my school.
I'm not a business type person. Maybe my sister or friend would do it... Grin
But in a way it isn't so needed now, when so many companies started issuing these cheap DVD's... for what you'd pay the rental service you get the whole DVD forever.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066295/

http://www.spaghettiwestern.altervista.org/vari-west17.htm

At IMDb you can read the only reviewer's opinion, at SW they dub this as "sleep-inducing". But both reviews admit that Madison saves himself from the disaster. He dons a very beautiful hat, BTW. The story is about Madison, former bounty-killer turned into a protestant priest because, when revenging himself of his (reverend) father's assassins killed also a boy by mistake. He wants to build a church in sheriff Harrison's hostile town and he will make it after he helps a besieged group of travellers to save themselves from the attack of the bandit Meticcio's gang.
The score sometimes is good, but the movie is just an amass of already-seen, when not embarassingly re-made, scenes, weak dialogues and incompetent acting. 3\10 is my generous evaluation, all because Madison manages himself quite well out of this crap.

Thanks, Titoli. I think now I'm glad I didn't buy it in the end. There are other, better films I can spend the money on. Our house is small and there's no room in it for 3/10 films.

Yeah, but nobody else seems to be very keen on it either. I can live without it.

I have yet to watch this one, either. Isn't Richard Harrison the lead? That's bad sign enough right there. His sword & sandal movies are enjoyable, though. He seems to be alive in those.

Should be, yes.

Should be, yes.

But he isn't. Guy Madison is.

Noteworthy that in the spanish version is absent the initial scene with a woman stripping and cuddling naked to Madison which is included in the italian version.

Now I don't know whether they had it wrong on CSFD or I remembered it wrong. Huh

Harrison is the co-star.

Harrison is the co-star.

I see. CSFD doesn't say who plays whom, and they somehow listed Harrison first.
