I posted that TCM is airing this in the Upcoming TCM Schedule post, but thought I'd put it here too so it's got a better chance of being seen.

It's a Leone movie so I'm going to give it a try. The old man hasn't steered me wrong yet.

That's about right. There's an added level of interest for the Leonefan, however, seeing some of the images the master would later use in other contexts.

Oh, how I wish I didn't see this movie. I don't care about durations, Rhodes is Serge's longest movie. Lame, predictable, 81 false endings and Rory Calhoun hams it up more than John Madden on Easter Sunday, eww.
Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre..

It wasn't as bad as people made it out, but at the same time it's not that great. The first 45-60 minutes are pretty slow, but once Rory Calhoun ends up with the Rhodes rebels the movie certainly picks up the pace and the action scenes are pretty good.
CoR is probably not going to be in my rewatch category, but I'm glad I watched it if for no other reason than to say I saw Sergio's first movie. 6/10
