A man trying to save his sick wife's life organizes a caravan to take her to Laredo. Many adventures ensue.
This is another contender for best ever euro AW. And it was made before or contemporarily to FOD! I find no fault with this except, maybe, the not particularly brilliant score. Unquestionably a must see for every western fan: the finale in the desert could easily belong in every masterpiece of the genre. I think this makes everybody's best 20. 9\10

Antes llega la muerte (AKA Hour of Death, AKA Seven Guns from Texas ) is an early, American-style Euro Western directed by Joaquin Romero Marchent and played mostly by Spanish actors, including a comparatively younger Fernando Sancho. There are a couple of Italians actors as well (Paul Piaget and Robert Undar/Claudio Undari).

The movie is nothing special: a drama from beginning to end without much action, and a few funny scenes played by Sancho and his sidekick. However, I think it is watchable. One just has to keep in mind it was made before Leone reinvented the genre, so it does not contain any of the SW ingredients except for being filmed in Almeria.

5 out of 10
